The Kingston Uptown Business Association Meet and Greet will take place Tuesday, 6/26 from 530-7PM at our recently restored Kingston office, Formerly, Excelsior Hose Fire Company, and the Tonner Doll Company Store adjacent to us.
The fire house was home to volunteer firefighters who originally responded to a hand rung bell, over 130 years ago. Harris Safier purchased the building at a public auction from the City of Kingston about 4 years ago and ultimately undertook the extensive restoration to make it into the award winning restoration it is now. (The Chamber of Commerce of Ulster County, and the Rural Ulster Preservation groups both designated the building as the "Best Creative RE-Use" of a building in the county in 2011.
Business people in the uptown Kingston area are welcome to join the meet and greet and see both buildings at the gateway to uptown Kingston when coming from I-87.
